| After RD passed away, Asha brought out "Panchami Surey" in tribute
to the departed maestro, comprising of remakes (with as faithful reproduction of
RD's original orchestration as possible) of Asha's popular Hindi numbers. Songs
like Bechara Dil Kya Kare (Khushboo), Aao Na gale Lagao Na (Mere Jeevan Saathi), Teri
Meri Yaari Badi Purani (Charitraheen) were chosen for this album. "Bhabini"
originally "Pyar Ke Mod Pe" from Parinda, has been performed as if being addressed
to R.D. Burman. Asha speaks a few lines in tribute in the album. |
